Pricey and still a Yaris. Hot hatch and Toyota don’t match in my perception. Have you actually driven one before, including one of its competitors? Like a Fiesta ST?

If you want a pseudo-sporty french built supermini why don’t you get a good one . And if you need that JDM badge factor .

That was my first thought. Sadly I’ve never driven a true hot or even “warm” hatch for that matter, but it’s very intriguing. That Fiesta seems more interesting than the Yaris but they’re rather rare in my area.

Whatever you do, test drive. Multiple types. An ST, a Swift, a Clio or Twingo, a 206 or 207 and that Yaris as well. Maybe not all, but most certainly more than one.

Twingo RS’ never pop up for sale in my area:(, I’d almost immediately look at one if there was one for sale. That Swift ain’t too bad but very bland. Not Yaris bland but yeah.

Most definitely, I won’t do blind car shopping like my parents did. Ugh, non car people.

C2 VTS and Polo GTI are other ones to add to the list.
They all have different characters and design goals, so have fun test driving, and get the one that best suits you.

Both are interesting, the GTI is usually rather pricey and the C2 a bit rare. Still intriguing none the less.

Mercedes A200 CDI Elegance with a tune in beige. Maximum sleeper.

Well well well I do have some (mostly negative) experience with the first gen A-Class but the 2nd gen is somehow quite okay. Would be a great way to out-beige my parents (that’s in no way or form a goal of mine).

My grandparents have a second gen A200 CDI Elegance in beige but without a tune. Shift from first to second is garbage and the handbrake seems to do shit. Other than that, fake wood trim.

Sounds a lot like my parent’s Golf 55 Plus minus the fake wood trim but with even more grey plastic.
